Designs, implements, conducts, and evaluates therapeutic recreation programs (group and one to ones) including the creative arts, which meet resident needs and maximize resident strengths. Invites and escorts residents to on and off community/neighborhood programs ensuring their safety and security by monitoring whereabouts during programs, and at all times when residents are present. Appropriately utilizes specific behavioral techniques for dementia resident and other populations. Qualifications

B.A or B.S in degree in therapeutic recreation, music therapy, art therapy, drama therapy, dance/movement therapy, creative arts therapy or related field AND preferably One of the following awarded within four (4) months of employment: Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) Music Therapist

Board Certified (MT- BC) Art Therapist Registered (ATR) Art Therapist Registered

Board Certified (ATR-BC) Registered - Dance Movement Therapist (R-DMT) Licensed Creative Arts Therapist (LCAT)

Demonstrated skill, as needed, to complement department/community needs such as crafts, music, dance, art, yoga, puppetry, drama, etc.

Ability to plan and implement programs
