CNC Lathe Machinist

We are seeking a skilled CNC Lathe Machinist to join our precision manufacturing team. As part of this role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC lathes to produce high-quality components in accordance with engineering drawings and specifications. Responsibilities

Set up and operate CNC lathes to machine parts to exact specifications. Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions. Select appropriate tooling and fixtures for each job. Monitor machine operations and make adjustments as needed to maintain quality and efficiency. Perform in-process inspections using precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges. Troubleshoot and resolve machining issues to minimize downtime. Maintain accurate production and inspection records. Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of machines and work area. Follow all safety and quality protocols. Essential Skills

Comfortable setting up a dual spindle CNC lathe with a tolerance of +/- 2/100ths. Ability to use Fanuc controls to enter CAD CAM. Experience with hardened metals such as Inconel and Titanium. Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and GD&T. Familiarity with G-code and CNC programming. Additional Skills & Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in machining preferred. 2-5 years of experience operating CNC lathes in a manufacturing environment. Experience with multi-axis lathes or live tooling is preferred. Aerospace, defense, or medical device manufacturing. Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement practices. The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $40.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
