The Physics Course Grader supports course management in OnRamps PHY 102M, an algebra-based lab course, through grading of student assessments. The Physics Grader works in close collaboration with the OnRamps Lab Team and Physics Team to deliver timely and thoughtful feedback and scores using Canvas SpeedGrader. Responsibilities
Grades specific components of PHY 102M lab assignments. Delivers timely and thoughtful feedback to students. Attends calibration meetings with the OnRamps Senior Lab Coordinator, Physics IOR, or Mentor Graders. Assists with other OnRamps Physics course tasks as necessary. Required Qualifications
Pursuing or earned a Bachelor's degree in Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or in a closely related field. Knowledge of and experience with scientific writing. Experience providing feedback and critiques based on provided rubrics. Ability to meet deadlines. Excellent communication skills. Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate. Preferred Qualifications
Undergraduate Teaching Assistant experience in physics or closely related field Graduate school (M.A., M.S., or Ph.D.) teaching experience in Physics or in a closely related field.
