Responsibilities Peraton is seeking a Digital Forensic Analyst to analyze electronic media in support of the Defense Cyber Crime Center (DC3), focusing on sensitive criminal investigations and operations. The analyst will examine hard drives, storage devices, cell phones, PDAs, and other electronic devices using forensic tools. Responsibilities include evidence preservation, forensic analysis, data recovery, email extraction, database examination, password cracking, steganography detection, and data recovery from digital media. Proper evidence custody and documentation are essential, and court testimony may be required.
Qualifications Associates degree with 10+ years of experience, OR Bachelor's degree with 8+ years, OR Master's degree with 6+ years. Additional relevant experience may substitute for a degree. Required Certifications include Digital Media Collector (DMC), Digital Forensic Examiner (DFE), Cyber Crime Investigator (CCI), or related certifications like CCE, CFCE, GCFE, CCME, XRY, OFCE, EnCE, X-PERT, MCFE, or data recovery certifications. Minimum 4 years experience in digital forensic analysis across multiple media types and operating systems. Experience supporting criminal investigations and writing technical reports. Proficiency with forensic tools such as EnCase, FTK, X-Ways, Axiom, Forensic Explorer, Cellebrite. Formal training in computer science, forensics, or related fields. Understanding of network protocols, networking concepts, and virtual environments. Active TS clearance, SCI eligibility.

Salary Range $135,000 - $216,000, based on experience and other factors.
