Traffic/Transportation Practice Leader
to join its collaborative Texas team. This leadership role involves growing Langan’s Traffic/Transportation practice in Texas, serving private developers, corporations, public entities, and institutional clients on real estate projects. You will leverage Langan’s national leadership and established practice to expand the Texas team’s capabilities and growth. Job Responsibilities
Work with firm’s Traffic/Transportation and Texas leadership to develop and implement growth strategies. Lead staffing, hiring, and organizational planning for Texas. Identify and pursue new clients, develop existing projects, and participate in business development activities. Manage and mentor junior staff on project assignments, providing coaching and training. Lead traffic/transportation efforts on various projects, including Traffic Impact Analysis, DOT driveway permitting, etc. Manage multiple projects within budgets and schedules, prepare reports, change orders, invoices, and assist with collections. Assess project feasibility, analyze preliminary data, and prepare reports, plans, and designs. Write and edit proposals, reports, and other documents effectively. Interface professionally with clients, contractors, staff, and other stakeholders. Perform additional duties as required. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering; Master’s in Traffic/Transportation is a plus. Professional Engineering license. 12+ years of experience in traffic engineering, transportation planning, traffic impact studies, and related fields. Familiarity with state permitting, DOT guidelines, and protocols. Effective public speaking and testimony skills. Experience managing clients, projects, and budgets. Knowledge of Synchro, ITE Trip Generation, HCM; Vissim, AutoCAD, MicroStation are a plus. Strong coaching, communication, and analytical skills. Ability to work independently and in teams; valid driver’s license and ability to travel.
