Duties: Draft, edit, and review legal instruments including Accounting Petitions, Petitions for Instructions, and Conservatorship Petitions Manage all phases of Trust Administration, Probate, and Conservatorship cases independently Consult with clients on the design and implementation of Revocable Living Trusts and Special Needs Trusts Address and resolve Probate Notes and Tentative Rulings by preparing appropriate legal supplements Conduct client meetings and provide consistent communication throughout the representation Supervise paralegals, legal assistants, and clerks, ensuring effective case progress Represent clients in court hearings related to probate and conservatorship matters Coordinate with the billing team to finalize and issue client invoices Requirements: Minimum of 5-7 years of hands-on legal experience in estate planning, probate, conservatorship, or related practice areas Licensed and in good standing with the California State Bar Proven ability to manage a full caseload with minimal supervision after initial onboarding Attention to detail and strong organizational habits Excellent written and oral communication skills Technological proficiency with Microsoft Office, legal case management platforms, and time-tracking software Demonstrated emotional intelligence and client-focused professionalism Education: Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school Certifications: Active membership in the California State Bar (mandatory) Skills: Strong legal drafting and analytical reasoning Effective team leadership and delegation capabilities Client-centered service orientation Time management and task prioritization Familiarity with California probate and conservatorship procedures Job Location: Newport Beach, CA In-office presence required; hybrid work model available following a successful training period Eligibility for annual performance-based bonus Negotiable vacation policy for attorneys Paid holidays include major U.S. observances 401(k) retirement plan with 4% employer matching Opportunities for continuing legal education and professional growth
