Job Summary: The Electrical Superintendent leads all field operations related to electrical construction work for assigned infrastructure projects. This position ensures timely, safe, and profitable project execution, overseeing subcontractors, maintaining workflow continuity, and aligning installations with drawings, specifications, and quality standards. The Superintendent plays a key role in ensuring project compliance, staff coordination, and client satisfaction throughout the lifecycle of the project.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee field operations for raceways, cable trays, ductbanks, switchgear, transformers, low/medium voltage systems, motors, wiring, heat tracing, instrumentation, and control testing. Maintain construction schedules and manage subcontractor performance to ensure contract completion timelines. Monitor safety protocols, review site-specific documentation (PTAs, TSOs), and ensure compliance. Coordinate daily construction activities, subcontractor direction, and materials/equipment usage. Manage site documentation including field reports, drawing revisions, punch lists, and RFIs. Conduct inspections, witness testing, verify installations, and oversee system walk-downs. Ensure up-to-date drawings are used and scope changes are accurately documented. Interface with clients, engineers, and contractors to ensure quality and project alignment. Support tool and material management on-site and verify delivery compliance. Confirm welder qualifications and participate in QA/QC walkthroughs and audits. Required Experience:
Bachelor's degree with 7+ years of electrical construction management or craft supervision experience OR Associate degree with 9+ years of relevant experience OR High School Diploma/GED with 11+ years of experience in the field Proven leadership in field operations and safety practices Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Valid driver's license meeting company driving requirements Nice-to-Have Experience:
Hands-on experience with isometric drawings, P&IDs, structural drawings Experience overseeing subcontractor contracts and compliance Familiarity with hydrostatic testing and instrument calibration Required Skills:
