Position Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Business Analyst to support and optimize our suite of enterprise tools including Atlassian, Alteryx, Power BI, and SQL-based reporting platforms. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, enjoys solving complex problems, and is passionate about automation, integration, and system performance.

Location : San Diego, CA (3-days per week on-site)

Position type : Contract-to-hire

Compensation : $38-43/hr Key Responsibilities System Configuration & Customization Configure and tailor applications (e.g., Atlassian, Alteryx, Power BI) to meet evolving business needs.

Build and maintain automation rules and workflows to streamline operations.

User & Role Management Manage user access, roles, and permissions across multiple platforms securely and efficiently.

SQL & Database Management Write and optimize SQL queries, join tables, and troubleshoot data issues.

Support report migration and database architecture documentation.

Scripting & Automation Use scripting tools (e.g., Python, Alteryx, Power Automate) to automate tasks and integrations.

Establish Python best practices and infrastructure for teamwide adoption.

System Monitoring & Troubleshooting Proactively monitor system health and performance.

Investigate and resolve functional and performance-related issues.

Integration & API Management Connect applications using APIs, connectors, or middleware.

Support integrations between Jira, Confluence, Alteryx, Power BI, and other third-party tools.

Reporting & Analytics Administer SSRS and Power BI reports, including publishing, permissions, and performance tuning.

Collaborate with analysts to optimize ETL pipelines and report delivery.

Documentation & Compliance Maintain clear documentation of configurations, processes, and change history.

Ensure systems meet security and compliance standards (e.g., SOC, HIPAA).

Platform-Specific Responsibilities Atlassian Administration Manage Jira Software, Jira Service Management, and Confluence configurations.

Administer service desk portals, request types, and automation rules.

Standardize Confluence spaces and support documentation across teams.

Alteryx Server Administration Schedule, monitor, and troubleshoot workflows.

Manage user roles, workflow versioning, and gallery enhancements.

SSRS Report Administration Deploy and manage reports, datasets, and subscriptions.

Support migration from RM to CRM and ensure audit compliance.

Power BI Administration Oversee workspace access, dataset refreshes, and report publishing.

Support integration with Alteryx and SQL Server, and assist with Fabric report infrastructure.

Other Duties Route and manage user access tickets across various applications.

Create and maintain documentation for support services (e.g., MFT, VCron, DB architecture).

Qualifications 3-5 years of relevant experience in systems administration or application support.

Strong knowledge of SQL, scripting (Python preferred), and enterprise reporting tools.

Experience working in audited or regulated environments (e.g., SOC, HIPAA).

Certifications in Jira Administration, SQL, Power BI, or related tools are a plus.

Familiarity with Agile or Scrum methodologies.

Pay Details:

$38.00 to $43.00 per hour
