About the Role We are seeking a procurement leader to help build Ramp’s procurement team and strategy from the ground up. You will be responsible for designing and executing all aspects of our internal procurement strategy. In addition, you will provide critical feedback to our product team as we build our own procurement software product. This is a unique opportunity to build a procurement function from zero to one and shape the direction of our procurement software roadmap. Tactically, you will manage and optimize our procurement intake and approval process, negotiate contracts with vendors, and manage renewals and vendor relationships. At a higher level, you will be responsible for defining how we do procurement internally, communicating that to the rest of the organization, influencing our product development, and eventually building out the procurement team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement, excellent leadership skills, and a keen eye for detail. This position will require someone who can roll up their sleeves and manage the day-to-day while thinking big picture and helping Ramp’s procurement team scale. What You'll Do

Procurement Ops : Manage the procurement process -- monitor requests and approvals, act as the liaison between our team and vendors

Negotiations:

Secure favorable price/value/terms for Ramp

Vendor Management:

Monitor and act on renewals, manage vendor relationships, identify redundant vendors

Internal Procurement Strategy : Implement best practices for Ramp’s internal Procurement and manage/enforce policies with stakeholders

Product Feedback:

Work with the Product team to build a better Procurement software tool

What You'll Need

Minimum 5+ years of experience in a Procurement function, preferably at a high-growth technology company

Strong organization/project management abilities – able to juggle many different requests/negotiations at once

Exceptional negotiation and contract management skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Proficiency in modern procurement software and tools (e.g. Ramp, Zip, Coupa, Vendr)
