We’re looking for ahands-on, safety-driven
Site Manager
to oversee daily operations at the Queen City Transfer Station. In this critical role, you'll lead personnel, ensure regulatory compliance, manage logistics, and champion a culture of safety and environmental responsibility. You’ll be the primary on-site leader, responsible for aligning operations with company goals and exceeding customer expectations. Key Responsibilities
Operational Management
Supervise all waste intake, sorting, loading, and outbound transport
Oversee equipment usage, maintenance, and repairs
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
Personnel Leadership
Lead and schedule a team of operators, scale attendants, and laborers
Provide training, coaching, and performance monitoring
Foster a strong, respectful, and productive team culture
Safety & Compliance
Enforce safety standards and conduct regular safety meetings
Ensure environmental and regulatory compliance (OSHA, DOT, EPA)
Maintain accurate documentation for audits and inspections
Customer Service & Communication
Act as the primary contact for haulers, contractors, and customers
Resolve service issues professionally and efficiently
Provide regular performance and operations updates to leadership
Administrative Duties
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports
Track labor, fuel, and equipment budgets
Maintain training and compliance records
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required
Degree or technical certification inoperations, logistics, or environmental services preferred
3–5 years of experience in waste or industrial site operations
Proven leadership and team management skills
Familiarity with transfer station equipment and safety protocols
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
Valid driver’s license (CDL a plus)
Physical Requirements
Comfortable working outdoors in all weather
Able to lift up to 50 lbs and operate heavy equipment as needed
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
