The U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) team is looking for a Strategic Business Development Leader to drive strategy and execution for special access programs within the U.S. Department of Defense business. The U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) team is looking for a Strategic Business Development Leader to drive strategy and execution for special access programs within the U.S. Department of Defense business. If you like to innovate to meet mission needs, we’d like to meet you. Your work will help the Department of Defense with modernization and transformation for the mission.
Key job responsibilities
You will develop and execute a comprehensive go-to-market strategy for special access programs.
You will build and drive a robust pipeline specific to DoD special access program use cases.
You will collaborate with industry partners to create holistic solutions for defense customers.
You will engage internal teams across engineering, sales, marketing, and solutions architecture to deliver comprehensive cloud-enabled capabilities for special access programs.
You will represent the company as a thought leader in the special access program space, shaping industry conversations, and influencing key stakeholders.
This position requires that the candidate selected be a US Citizen and obtain and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance.

Basic Qualifications
5+ years of developing, negotiating and executing business agreements experience 5+ years of professional or military experience Bachelor's degree Experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules 5+ years of direct sales or business development in software, cloud or SaaS markets. Previous experience in a sales or business development role focused on the Department of Defense. Previous experience supporting Special Access Programs on behalf of the Government or a DoD industry partner. Ability to interact with DoD senior leaders. Experience developing detailed go to market plans. Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI.

Experience interpreting data and making business recommendations Experience identifying, negotiating, and executing complex legal agreements Expertise in DoD mission specific use cases.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $220,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
