Approximately 5% travel. On-site presence is required on Mondays. There may also be a need to visit local SRP locations within the Tempe/Phoenix area near CUB. Depending on the business area, the role may require being onsite 1-2 additional days per week.
The Senior Data Analyst in Data Services will be working in a dynamic environment/team, requiring an individual who can learn quickly and adapt to change in support of projects and initiatives of critical systems here at SRP. The team is made up of incredibly skilled and experienced people focused on delivering quality solutions in a highly collaborative environment.
The desired candidate will have a strong background in business analysis practices, project management fundamentals, and data management experience/knowledge, as well as a desire to become part of a team-oriented experience.
Job Responsibilities
Work with the business to facilitate project meetings. Develop project plans and execute on plans. Catalog metadata utilizing the metamodel, as well as being able to instruct others on the team with best practices, standards, and perform the data catalog services to meet our business expectations and needs. Collaborate with Data Governance and other partners around data management/information management policies, standards, data principles, etc., such as Integration Services, Analytics Center of Excellence, and business area data analytics teams, and support the Data Stewardship community. Implementation of cataloging their data, data quality services, and the variety of assessments we provide to enable the business to utilize the metadata in their day-to-day work. Manage multiple data services and continue to expand knowledge of data practices, services, and offerings. Work with team members to proactively identify issues/risks and contribute to solutions Design techniques and approaches to design an integrated solution to address business requirements Requirements
The ideal candidate has:
Strong technical skill set
(SQL, Python preferred) Experience applying advanced analytical techniques in a workplace setting (e.g., predictive modeling) Desire & ability to collaborate closely with our business partners to consult & gather requirements Experience in building resilient data products (e.g., dashboards, databases, integrations, data lifecycle). Required Skills:
Proven experience in standard business analysis practices and project management practices Ability to work with business users and IT technical staff in a team environment Strong communication skills with the ability to interact at all levels of an organization Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail Exhibits strong interpersonal skills Demonstrated ability to take initiative and accountability for achieving results Customer Service focused Project Management Business Analysis/System Analyst Collibra DIP and Collibra DQO Report/Dashboard Development Power BI SQL Python Programming languages (ability to read code)
