Assembles and modifies standard or custom electrical parts systems and apparatus to develop assembly methods and techniques for use by production workers performing the following duties. **
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING, OTHER DUTIES MAY BE ASSIGNED:**
• Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematic drawings and receives verbal instructions regarding work assignments.
• Utilize handheld tools.
• Aligns and assembles components made from sheet metal, structural steel, and cable tray.
• Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassemblies.
• Responsible for drilling and tapping various electrical equipment such as LV/MV MCC's, Switchgear, UPS's, and other associated equipment.
• Operates lifting devices such as Toe Jacks, Overhead Crane, and Forklifts.
• Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Examines parts for defects such as pinholes, chips, or dents in material.
• Positions parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements.
• Replaces defective components.
• Assembles prototype units.
