This position will be responsible for developing and improving the end-user desktop environment. The role will provide operational support for the existing and future end user computing architectures. Responsibilities also include designing solutions to support existing and future services and enhance security posture, while acting as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Desktop Engineering managed solutions. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each primary duty satisfactorily. Develop and implement engineering solutions for the desktop environment

Lead and manage technical projects from conception to completion

Packages application deployments for end-user environment using VMware AppStacks and similar technologies

Create technical specifications and architectural designs for complex solutions

Establish technical standards, best practices, and design patterns for the team

Research and evaluate emerging technologies to recommend strategic adoption

Preserves end user profile settings virtual desktop environments

Troubleshoots application installation, performance, and runtime issues within the desktop environments

Maintain and oversee Operating System base builds to include feature updates, software updates, and/or vulnerability remediation

Meet with Business, IT and Security Leaders to develop requirements and communicate changes to the environment

Challenge the status quo with new ideas and drive innovation for the end user experience

Applies comprehensive knowledge of concepts, processes, practices, and procedures on technical assignments

Automate processes in the end-user experience space

Maintains and troubleshoot Office 365 environment

Troubleshoots production problems related to desktop and mobile software applications

Addresses problems of systems integration, compatibility, and multiple platforms

Assists in the evaluation and recommendation of application software packages, application integration and testing tools

Remove barriers and obstacles from end-user technology to enable the business

Provides tactical and strategic input on the overall End User experience

Provides on-call support according to assigned schedule

Documents changes, policies and procedures and drawings

Leads projects of various sizes and schedules

Provide technical expertise and guidance to the engineering team

Mentor members of the Desktop Engineering team

Perform other duties as assigned

Technical Skills: [Required] Experience supporting Windows desktop operating system environments

[Required] Minimum of 3+ years of experience with desktop management solutions

[Required] Minimum of 3+ years of experience with O365

[Required] Desktop Application Troubleshooting

[Required] Experience operating in a DevOps culture

Compensation The salary range listed for any given position is exclusive of fringe benefits and potential bonuses. If hired at OCC, your final base salary compensation will be determined by factors such as skills, experience and/or education. We typically do not hire at the maximum of the range in order to allow for future and continued salary growth.
