Teal Health is on a mission to provide women with the tools, access, and resources they need to make their own, informed decisions regarding their health—starting with cervical cancer screenings. We created the first FDA approved at-home cervical cancer screening. We’re replacing the in-office pap smear with a cervical cancer screening that is comfortable, convenient, and designed for women. Teal Health’s solution includes a patented Teal Wand collection device and a modern telehealth platform to make it easy for women to speak with a doctor, screen at home and understand her results.

Why we are hiring a VP of Business Development
As Teal’s VP of Business Development, you will own and evolve Teal’s partnerships with leading commercial payers, health plans, provider networks, employers, and other partnerships. You will be responsible for the acquisition, execution and success of our B2B partnerships.
You will play a key role in Teal’s national expansion, ensuring that every woman has access to Teal to stay up to date on this life-saving screening. You’re joining at the ground floor in a company of 15, all of whom are amazing and set to profoundly change women’s health!
Success in the next 12-24 months looks like:
Define and prioritize our B2B customer strategy. Teal has strong demand from employers, health systems, provider groups, payors and government programs. You will define the sales strategy including scoping the opportunity, identify the value proposition, scope the implementation (requirements from product or operations), and size the market. Build out a qualified pipeline. Based on outcomes in partnership analysis (bullet above) - build, score, and nurture pipeline of qualified customer prospects. Close 2+ large Payor contracts. You will be responsible for driving the full end to end process from identifying and reaching out to the right stakeholders, pricing negotiations, legal contracting, and working alongside marketing and operations to implement comarketing efforts, and a successful roll-out. Close 2+ additional customer contracts. Based on outcomes in partnership analysis (bullet above) - close 2+ additional large channel partners. Support design of partner experiences with Operations and Product. Define and communicate the requirements of product or operations for successful customer roll-out including customization, integrations, etc. Work with Operations and Product to ensure an exceptional patient experience. Monitor performance and deliver quantifiable & qualitative insights to partners: Prove Teal’s impact via reporting, regular meetings, and quarterly business reviews to ensure Teal is adhering to our value proposition. Create repeatable processes. Develop the process and pipeline to make those channels repeatable and scalable.

You are highly motivated, self-directed, and curious and are always looking for ways to grow the business. You take the time to understand all aspects of our business and product so that you are able to align the opportunities with our ability to deliver an exceptional patient experience.
Ideal experience:
Sales Leadership: 10+ years of experience business development, market access, or payer relations in healthcare, digital health, or life sciences. Extensive experience across healthcare: Deep understanding of health systems, referral networks, care pathways and integration of digital solutions with traditional care delivery models Proven track record: Successfully negotiating and securing agreements with payors, employers, health systems and more.
