Job Purpose The purpose of this role is to support the senior counsel in advising and supporting a wide range of legal matters across the global ICE Data Services business units, with a special emphasis on commercial licensing transactions and strategic agreements. Overview This is a hands-on role where you will be responsible for executing a variety of tasks, including review and negotiation of complex commercial licensing and strategic contractual arrangements such as data and software licenses, service agreements, market data licenses, financial product licenses, redistribution arrangements, and data vendor contracts. You will also create form templates, work closely with the business to determine efficient contracting processes, and provide legal support to Marketing, Finance, HR, and product development departments. Responsibilities Draft, review, and negotiate agreements for ICE Data Services globally, primarily customer agreements and data sourcing agreements. Assist in preparing and reviewing external requests for information (RFI’s and RFP’s). Perform legal reviews of ICE Data Services marketing materials. Identify risk implications of business strategies and plans. Ensure advice complies with relevant regulatory requirements and ICE policies. Collaborate with ICE business areas, providing advice and assistance as needed. Work with business, sales, and product teams during negotiations and client discussions. Maintain a professional and enthusiastic presence within the legal department. Knowledge And Experience Licensed attorney in the United States with around 3+ years of experience; relevant experience may be considered. Experience working in-house, preferably in financial services or financial data/technology sectors. Proven experience in commercial licensing, contract negotiation, and legal advice across various products and services. Strong communication and negotiation skills, proficiency in English, and ability to review contractual documents. Knowledge of financial markets and services is highly preferred. Understanding of global regulatory requirements such as MiFID II, SEC, CFTC, GDPR, US export laws, and OFAC is highly desirable. Ability to provide clear guidance to management with a business-oriented approach. Autonomous work style and adaptability to changing environments. Ability to manage multiple projects efficiently in a fast-paced, global setting, including outside of regular hours. Quick learner, analytical thinker, and effective problem-solver. Ability to provide pragmatic, timely legal advice across organizational levels. Salary Range (New York) The expected base salary in New York is between $145,000 - $175,000 USD, excluding incentives.
