Direct message the job poster from ABGi USA Our client is seeking a Water Resources Project Manager to join our Water Resources Team within our Chantilly, VA office. This individual will have the opportunity to manage stormwater management design, construction, and maintenance operations on a wide variety of projects. Our projects implement a wide variety of stormwater management facilities, such as bioretentions, green roofs, permeable pavements, stormwater ponds, manufactured treatment devices, and underground detention facilities. This individual will also have the opportunity to manage floodplain and dam permitting, hydrologic and hydraulic analyses, breach and inundation analyses, and emergency planning. This position offers excellent opportunities for professional growth in a work atmosphere that strives for excellence and emphasizes teamwork. This individual will also be responsible for supervising at least one (1) direct report and serving as a technical mentor to the other water resources team design engineers. Technical Design Opportunities Design all types of SWM facilities Oversee construction inspections for all types of SWM facilities and other related construction administration Develop and execute stormwater operation and maintenance programs for entities owning large SWM assets Model and analyze local and FEMA floodplains for existing conditions and proposed alteration condition studies. This includes the opportunity to design large culvert/bridge crossings Analyze and permit state regulated dams, including developing dam breach inundation studies, operation and maintenance permitting, alteration permits, emergency action plan development and execution, annual dam inspections, and other dam related activities General Job Responsibilities Develop stormwater management concept plans Develop H&H models for floodplain and dam modeling Production of final construction documents Management of construction inspections Execution of construction administration Develop local and state permit applications Prepare technical reports Research regulatory codes, manuals, and standards Manage multiple projects and deadlines Meet and coordinate with regulators to address comments and facilitate approval Manage clients and develop project schedules / workplans Supervisor for at least one (1) direct report Technical mentor to other team design engineers Perform other duties as required Required Qualifications A minimum of 6+ years of related professional experience Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, or similar degree Strong mathematical/analytical skills Strong communication, writing, and organizational skills Strong quality control skills and attention to detail Proficiency with Autocad Proficiency with H & H modeling software such as HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, HEC-1, HY-8, Flowmaster Professional Engineer license (VA) or ability to obtain within six (6) months Experience training junior level engineers Preferred Qualifications Proficiency with ArcMap, or similar Experience with writing proposals Seniority level
