Senior IT Project Manager
to lead strategic IT project management efforts supporting the Secure Global Network infrastructure of the Space Domain Awareness and Combat Power Directorate. This role manages a project portfolio valued at approximately $2.5 million and supports over 500 users, including oversight of guest networks. The position requires collaboration, cross-functional leadership, and strong technical skills to ensure mission success. (This position is contingent upon contract award.) Key Responsibilities: Oversee the full project lifecycle: initiate, plan, execute, monitor/control, and close projects using Waterfall, Agile, and hybrid methodologies. Provide technical and analytical leadership to project teams. Build and manage relationships with stakeholders, ensuring project dependencies and compliance requirements are met. Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks proactively. Develop and lead change management and communication plans, coordinating with the Office of Special Investigations (OSI) and security to meet security requirements, including CONOPS approvals. Support financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting for IT initiatives. Manage work orders for the Facility Configuration Management Board quarterly. Lead project kick-offs and serve as the primary liaison among sponsors, engineers, security, end users, IT staff, contractors, and vendors. Provide regular, clear updates to senior leadership for strategic decision-making. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Project Management, Computer Science, or related field. 5-7 years of progressive IT project management experience. Experience managing enterprise-level IT infrastructure projects. Ability to lead cross-functional teams and engage stakeholders at all levels. Experience in DoD environments with knowledge of secure infrastructure and compliance protocols. Active TS/SCI clearance and SAP eligibility required. Preferred Qualifications: PMP, Agile, or relevant project management certifications. Experience with Facility Configuration Management Boards and security coordination. Familiarity with CONOPS documentation and OSI processes. Strong understanding of secure network environments in classified domains. Why Join Vision IT?
