The Director of Commercial and Industrial Sales isresponsible for driving profitable volume growth across the company’s product portfolio throughout the commercial, industrial, and government contract base in greater New York City. The successful candidate will create new opportunities within the market, proactively seek new business, and increase market share within existing accounts. In addition, the sales leader will dynamically manage the existing sales force with a particular focus on topgrading the organization to ensure the long-term growth and success of the business Compensation $150,000-$175,000 plus bonus Location New York Metro Area Responsibilities Plan and implement account-based sales plans aligned with the company’s strategy, working collaboratively with other key stakeholders including operations and the credit department Evaluate sales team, work with team members to create, implement, and track development plans for improved sales and customer retention performance Pursue new customers and turning them into sales opportunities and successfully closing deals Prepare quotations and tenders in accordance with the company’s sales processes Ensure profitable sales by achieving targeted gross margins and minimizing receivables turnover Participating in exhibitions and fairs, organizing online customer seminars, and more globally digital marketing activities Participate in budgeting and action planning, forecasting sales performance, and developing sales funnel Leverage CRM program to accurately log and track all sales activities, ensure CRM program is up to date, and utilize CRM program to regularly update management on opportunities, wins, losses, and forecasting for inventory and operational planning Act as the subject matter expert on customer needs, challenges, and market conditions Requirements Knowledge of technical sales and understanding of procurement practices, contractual issues, and financing instruments Proven ability to manage and motivate salespeople to drive growth and accountability through positive energy Excellent communication and negotiation skills Knowledge and understanding of the energy industry 5 Years of fuel sales management experience generating new sales to existing, and potential new customers Experience with CRM software and management of customer accounts Must be proactive and able to work independently Contact Pat Siefert at pats@er-inc.com or 239-444-5280
