The Job Summary
JOB DESCRIPTION
The
Sr, Manager, PCBA Global Process Lead
will be responsible for optimizing PCBA CAD engineering processes across global engineering teams. This role identifies drives engineering efficiency, reduced cycle time, and improved engineering quality through best practice identification, process convergence, maximized us of Artificial Intelligence and other digital tools while closely collaborating with business leaders, engineering leaders, and CAD tool owners. The PCBA Global Process lead will focus on the overall design process, not the specific use cases/Standard Operating Procedures of the Engineering Tools (the Engineering Tools team will focus on the detailed tools and SOPs). The PCBA Global Process lead will work across the engineering teams and engineering leaders to identify and enforce best practices and processes. This position will be based onsite at either of our Westerville / Delaware, OH locations.
Responsibilities
(25%) Improve PCBA engineering efficiency by identifying best practices, and optimizing global engineering processes. (25%) Standardize PCBA processes across all products lines; driving continuous improvement. (20%) Promote and deploy AI-based automation in PCBA design workflows. (15%) Collaborate with tool owners to ensure seamless integration between tools and processes. (15%) Define, track, and improve key metrics (e.g., design cycle time, rework rates).
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering or a related field (Master’s preferred). Certifications in Design for Six Sigma, Lean, Six Sigma, or similar process improvement methodologies are a plus. 10–15 years in PCBA design layout experience with a focus on design process improvement. Deep understanding of PCBA design and CAD tools (e.g., Creo, NX, SolidWorks). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills related to process improvement. Excellent interpersonal and cross-functional collaboration abilities. Self-motivated and proactive with minimal supervision required to seek out and implement process improvements. Ability to travel internationally and interface with global engineering teams.
Travel Requirements
10% travel domestically and internationally as required, with participation in global meetings outside normal working hours.
