Program Manager, Renewable Energy & Emissions The Enterprise Environmental Sustainability Team at The Walt Disney Company (TWDC) is part of the Global Public Policy organization responsible for developing company-wide environmental sustainability goals. The team supports and oversees these goals, leads environmental data collection, analysis, and reporting, and collaborates with various corporate functions and business segments including Parks & Resorts, Cruise Lines, Movie & TV Production, Consumer Products, and Sourcing. As aggregators of enterprise-wide environmental data, the team provides strategic insights to reduce Disney’s environmental impacts, manage risks, and identify opportunities to create value from environmental efforts.

The Renewable Energy and Emissions team within this group develops TWDC’s Scope 1 & 2 Emissions Forecasting Model and Strategy, focusing on data gathering, reporting, and continuous improvement. They partner with segment teams to support strategy development and implementation of emissions reductions and renewable energy projects at a corporate level to meet TWDC’s Scope 1 & 2 targets. As a Program Manager, you will lead the update and development of the emissions forecasting model and help craft strategies to achieve the company’s Scope 1 & 2 emissions and Zero Carbon Electricity goals across the enterprise. This role aims to support TWDC’s progress toward its emissions goals, including purchasing or producing 100% Zero Carbon Electricity, reducing absolute Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 46.2%, and achieving net zero emissions by 2030. What You Will Do: Lead the development and maintenance of a dynamic, enterprise-wide emissions model that accounts for business growth, energy needs, emissions factor changes, and other variables over time. Collaborate with site environmental teams, data collection teams, and stakeholders to understand data needs for energy and emissions analytics projects. Develop and implement ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) and ELT (Extract, Load, Transform) processes to ensure data accuracy and reliability for modeling and analysis. Stay informed about industry best practices in data modeling, energy data management, and emissions tracking. Contribute to emissions data visualization and reporting by ensuring data models support effective representation. Research trends in clean energy, including emerging technologies, policies, regulations, and social equity considerations. Assist in integrating financial and emissions data for evaluating clean energy projects. Support other initiatives related to energy efficiency, electrification, and low-carbon fuels as needed. Required Qualifications & Skills: At least 3 years of experience in energy and emissions modeling and forecasting, including scenario analysis tools. Experience with data integration, ETL/ELT tools, and processes. Proficiency in developing dashboards for energy and carbon metrics. Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI and their data connectivity requirements. Understanding of energy data concepts (electricity, natural gas, renewable generation) and emissions accounting principles (GHG Protocol). Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Energy, Business, or related fields. Five or more years of experience, or three years with a graduate degree. Experience with programming languages like Python or R for data analysis. Knowledge of climate and energy policies at local and global levels. Experience managing sustainability projects or carbon reduction initiatives. Knowledge of clean energy technologies from R&D to market-ready solutions, including renewables, energy efficiency, and low-carbon fuels.
