About The Role

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) provides strategic and operational financial leadership to support the firm’s growth, profitability, and long-term success. This role partners closely with the CEO, COO, and the broader C-suite and service group leadership teams to align financial strategy with firm priorities. The CFO leads the internal accounting department as well as the database and reporting team, oversees budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and profitability, and serves as a trusted advisor across the business. Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Collaborate with the CEO and COO to drive the firm’s operational strategy and long-term vision Lead the internal accounting team, including staffing, counsel, performance management, and development Establish and maintain firm-wide financial systems, standards, and controls in line with internal policies and compliance requirements Serve as a collaborative member of the firm’s Leadership team and actively engage with market leaders, operational directors, and service group leadership Oversee all budgeting and forecasting functions across the firm Monitor firm-wide profitability, cash flow, expense management, and service area performance Provide financial insights and dashboards (e.g., via Power BI) that enable strategic decision-making Prepare and ensure timely, accurate issuance of monthly and annual financial statements Serve as the HIPAA compliance officer for the firm’s self-funded medical plan Lead financial operations related to mergers, acquisitions, and integrations Analyze and interpret internal financial and operational data to identify risks, gaps, and opportunities Maintain and manage external relationships with bankers, vendors, and agents Support the Board of Directors with financial insights and attend board meetings as requested Oversee rate-setting practices and periodic billing rate adjustments Monitor and report on collections, A/R, and WIP, supporting CEO and service group leaders with data Assess firm-wide needs through regular stakeholder engagement and synthesize feedback into action

Experience & Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA required 10+ years of senior financial leadership experience, preferably in a professional services or consulting firm Experience overseeing accounting operations, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting Proven ability to build and lead cross-office, cross-functional teams Prior experience supporting M&A activity and board reporting Deep understanding of regulatory compliance, internal controls, and financial systems
