The SAS Managed Cloud Services (MCS) division within the Cloud and Information Services (CIS) organization seeks a Hosted Managed Services Offering Manager to support private cloud offerings in the SAS Managed Cloud portfolio. Join a team of motivated professionals to develop and communicate the SAS MCS roadmap and bring new offers and services to market, especially as solutions are being transformed with the next-generation Viya 4.0 platform.
This role focuses on building and extending our MCS Viya 4 offering, collaborating closely with product management and engineering teams in the Viya 4 product organization.
As a Senior Product Manager, you will:
Strategic Planning & Market Analysis:
Develop and maintain a strategic roadmap for Viya 4 MCS services, aligning with business goals and market demands. Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and threats in managed cloud services, cloud platforms, data, and AI.
Viya 4 MCS Offering Development & Market Launch:
Collaborate with various teams to define and prioritize requirements for new and expanded Viya 4 offerings, overseeing their launch through the SDLC process.
Viya 4 Offering Performance Monitoring:
Develop and analyze KPIs and business metrics to evaluate performance and identify continuous improvement opportunities.
Compliance & Governance:
Ensure offerings comply with regional, global, and sector regulations, standards, and best practices.
Customer & Market Engagement:
Engage with customers and regional teams to gather feedback and ensure offerings meet their needs.
SAS & MCS Market Eminence:
Promote SAS Managed Cloud Services benefits through leadership meetings, speaking engagements, and events to build understanding and excitement.
Follow all security policies and processes to support secure software development.
Required Qualifications
8+ years of experience in product or service offering management within the software or IT services industry.
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, or a related field.
Equivalent experience may be considered.
Ability to build relationships with senior leaders.
Knowledge of hyperscale cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and their architecture.
Experience with product strategy, business case development, and market launch.
Strong analytical, negotiation, collaboration, and presentation skills.
Experience in Managed Services, SaaS, or XaaS models.
Curious, passionate, authentic, and accountable.
Preferred Qualifications
SAS programming and product experience, especially with Viya 4, SAS 9, RF&C, HLS/LSAF.
Industry experience in Financial Services, Government, or Life Sciences.
Cloud certifications across hyperscalers.
Ability to define complex software products and link features to customer value.
Strong presentation and problem-solving skills.
Collaborative and transparent influencer.
Ability to perform under pressure and drive transformation.
