About The Division
The mission of Support Services is to effectively and efficiently provide the highest level of customer service to the agency. Through professional and knowledgeable staff, we strive to provide expertise in Access Control, Asset Management, Continuity of Operations, Distribution Center, Facilities Planning, Mail Operations, Operations Support, Print Operations, and Executive Support.
Work Hours
Monday through Friday, 40 hours a week with occasional evening, weekend hours and holidays. Hours may change based on business need.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Education:
Graduation from an accredited high school or successful completion of the General Education Development test (GED).
Preferred Qualifications
Two years of customer service and administrative support work. Two years of experience with building security or monitoring security stations. Two years working with S2 badging software. Two years of experience with monitoring and viewing building security camera systems.
Substitutions
Education requirement may be substituted with up to four (4) years of related experience.
Licenses and Certifications
A valid Texas (or state of residency) driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record are a condition of employment. Applicants offered an interview must present the following documents at or before the interview: A state issued driving record for the last 36 months; valid Texas driver’s license (or state of residency driver’s license); and current proof of automobile insurance.

Must be able to drive agency vehicles, including cargo vans, suburban and light/medium duty trucks per Support Services standards.Must be able to lift 75 pounds using property lifting and safety techniques as well as pull, push, reach, stretch, kneel, crawl, stoop, crouch, climb and walk.Must be able to express and/or exchange ideas by means of the spoken word.Must be able to perceive the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels.
In this role you will:
Answers and routes telephone calls, greets visitors and makes follow up calls to employees to ensure building concerns are reported to Support Services and addressed. Provides building security and monitoring, assists with building emergencies and evacuations, as required, and assigns messenger requests. Assists with performing delivery and messenger duties. Provides employee safety assistance to include staffing the monitor station, reviewing building video monitors, visitor sign-in and employee compliance with badge requirements. Assists Support Services personnel during building emergencies following established procedures. Assists division with employee badging as well as corresponds with Texas Facilities Commission and Texas Department of Public Safety for building access issues. Assists with building key issuance. Reports building maintenance and/or cleaning concerns to Texas Facilities Commission using a computer. Prepares or assists in the preparation of administrative reports, studies, and specialized research projects for the division. Provides Executive support functions required by Executive Administration Division, including assisting executive staff with shuttle services, confidential mail deliveries and confidential debris and recycling needs. Performs other related duties as assigned.
