Rate Range: $60-$69/Hr
Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Java Lead with a strong background in Kafka, MongoDB, and cloud migration to lead development efforts in building scalable, distributed systems. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of technical leadership, delivering complex enterprise applications, and migrating monolithic applications to cloud-native architectures. Key Responsibilities:
Lead a team of Java developers through the design, development, and deployment of enterprise-grade applications. Design and implement scalable microservices using Java (Spring Boot) and integrate with Apache Kafka and MongoDB. Architect and execute cloud migration strategies (AWS/Azure/GCP), ensuring secure, scalable, and cost-efficient solutions. Collaborate with DevOps, QA, and other stakeholders for CI/CD implementation, performance optimization, and deployment. Establish coding standards, perform code reviews, and mentor junior developers. Troubleshoot production issues and implement preventive solutions. Ensure adherence to Agile/Scrum practices and participate in sprint planning and daily stand-ups. Required Skills & Experience:
8+ years of experience in Java/J2EE development. Strong expertise in
Spring Boot ,
RESTful services , and microservices architecture. 3+ years of hands-on experience with
Apache Kafka
for real-time data streaming. Proficiency in
MongoDB , including schema design, aggregation pipelines, and performance tuning. Experience with at least one major cloud provider (
AWS ,
Azure , or
GCP ), including services like EC2, S3, Lambda, Cloud Functions, or Azure Functions. Solid understanding of cloud migration strategies and tools. Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Git, and CI/CD pipelines. Strong problem-solving and debugging skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Preferred Qualifications:
Cloud certification (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Developer Associate). Experience in event-driven architecture. Familiarity with Terraform, Helm, or similar IaC tools. Prior experience in leading cross-functional teams.
