This position requires strong leadership skills to guide team members in executing these critical tasks effectively and strong interpersonal skills to work with Engineering, Customer Design, Project Management, Work Scheduling, Service Corp, Transmission, and Operations in a collaborative environment to meet customers’ needs. What You’ll Do: Ensure that each employee maintains a customer-focused attitude by conveying a thorough understanding of customer expectations and instilling the importance of achieving superior customer satisfaction. Oversee and develop strategies to enhance circuit reliability and performance. Provide supervision for distribution engineers and engineering support. Support AEP Ohio work groups in facilitating engineering solutions. Provide training and promote standardization of engineering practices. Promote standard compliance and engineering guidance. Assist with the timely restoration of outages during major events, including Incident Command Structure roles. Assist with regulatory compliance and customer-related issues. Essential Job Functions & Tasks: Technical Expertise:

Knowledge and experience in applying theory to solve well-defined problems. Familiarity with standards, codes, regulations, equipment, materials, systems, and business processes. Leadership & Guidance:

Focus on customer satisfaction, apply economic analysis, and participate in professional organizations. Where You’ll Work: Onsite at our Gahanna, OH location. What We’re Looking For: Education Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited institution, preferably in electrical, mechanical, or civil engineering, or engineering technology. Alternatives include a PE license or a Master’s in engineering from an ABET-accredited program. Experience Requirements:

3 years in power system electrical distribution design or 5 years in distribution operations, construction, or maintenance. Required License(s)/Certification(s):
