Indiana University School of Medicine is seeking a visionary leader to serve as the Associate Center Director for the Fort Wayne Campus. This leadership opportunity will have the resources and support to propel forward the school’s mission and strategic initiatives.

The Associate Center Director will play a crucial role in enhancing the educational experience, fostering innovation, and promoting a positive work environment. In this role, the Associate Director will be part of the senior leadership team for IUSM Educational Affairs and the Regional Campus System, advocating for IUSM’s mission, goals, and values. Responsibilities include developing an on-campus schedule for regular access to leadership, leading the regional campus in enhancing the four-year MD Program, ensuring a positive academic environment and high student satisfaction, engaging with area health systems, recruiting and developing faculty for clinical teaching, participating in curriculum reform and innovation, promoting research and educational scholarship, developing mentoring programs for faculty, ensuring compliance with IU policies, and maintaining financial stewardship. The Associate Director will also work to enhance the campus's reputation in northeast Indiana, engage in fundraising, participate in alumni and community engagement activities, and travel within Indiana. They will participate as a clinical preceptor, collaborate with teaching faculty, advocate for a non-punitive environment, create and conduct programs through professional organizations, and support scholarly activity in medical education. The successful candidate will be a visionary leader with a strong background in academic medicine, excellent leadership skills, and a commitment to promoting innovation, scholarship, and a positive work environment. Experience in curriculum development, faculty mentoring, and community engagement, along with a proven track record of enhancing educational experiences and fostering collaboration, are essential.
