Our client is seeking an experienced

Senior Network Engineer

to lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of our network infrastructure. This role requires strong expertise in LAN, WAN, firewalls, routers, VPNs, wireless networks, QoS, IP addressing, DHCP, OSPF, EIGRP, and BGP to support a variety of network environments. This role requires 4 days/week on site in Plymouth Meeting, PA. You will work closely with internal business teams and third-party vendors to ensure the network infrastructure meets business needs, supports plant operations, and data center architecture. The Senior Network Engineer will actively engage in designing secure, reliable network solutions, following industry best practices to ensure network security, isolation, and high availability. Additionally, you'll collaborate with IT management to develop, document, and communicate network standards and procedures.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Communication & Collaboration: Facilitate clear communication across business units, technical teams, and senior management.

Firewall Management: Oversee the configuration and management of firewalls, including Cisco FirePower, ASAs, Fortinet, and Palo Alto.

Network Administration: Manage and support LAN, WAN, VPN, DMVPN, Client VPN, WLAN, IP addressing, DHCP, IPS, QoS, and other network technologies crucial to business and plant operations.

Compliance and Standards: Ensure adherence to policies, procedures, and standards, particularly in support of IP telephony and network security requirements.

Network Monitoring: Develop and implement network monitoring tools to ensure optimal performance and rapid incident response.

Standardization & Policy Compliance: Partner with management to establish and uphold network standards, policies, and compliance measures.

Troubleshooting & Upgrades: Identify and resolve hardware and software issues, perform upgrades on firewalls, routers, switches, and WLAN devices.

Reporting & Documentation: Manage compliance reporting, configuration management, and operational tracking to meet security policies.

Travel: Occasional travel to plant facilities within our geographic area may be required.

Additional Responsibilities: Perform other duties as assigned to support IT and business objectives. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Network Infrastructure Knowledge: Strong foundation in network infrastructure, including firewall management, IPS, LAN/WAN, VPN technologies, IP addressing, QoS, high availability, disaster recovery, and enterprise security.

Solution-Oriented: Ability to assess complex, interconnected systems and propose robust solutions that maintain network isolation where required.

Project Management: Skilled in developing and executing detailed project plans.

Operational Support: Experienced in service delivery, production support, information security, risk management, auditing, and asset documentation.

Communication & Analytical Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a strong analytical mindset.

Technical Support: Ability to provide level 2/3 tech support to remote users and travel to on-site locations as needed. Education and Experience:

B.S. in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

5+ years of experience in a relevant network engineering role. BGP routing experience, OSPF routing experience, Nexus platorm experience (NX-OS). Cisco CCNP or equivalent experience is required.
