This role involves advocating for employees in significant cases involving discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, wage and hour violations, and other workplace injustices. The ideal candidate will be a strategic litigator with extensive courtroom experience and a commitment to employee rights. Duties
Represent plaintiffs in employment law matters, including Title VII, ADA, ADEA, FMLA, and FLSA claims. Manage all phases of litigation, from case intake through trial or settlement. Conduct depositions, discovery, motion practice, and pre-trial preparation. Advocate for clients in mediations, arbitrations, and court proceedings. Negotiate settlements and draft legal agreements. Provide legal advice and strategic counsel to clients on employment-related matters. Supervise or mentor junior attorneys or support staff, as needed. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws. Requirements
13 years of experience in employment litigation on the plaintiff side. Proven success handling a substantial caseload and complex litigation matters. Strong trial experience and courtroom presence. Exceptional writing, oral advocacy, and negotiation skills. Ability to manage cases independently and provide strategic legal guidance. Education
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school. Certifications
Admission to the New York State Bar (in good standing). Admission to federal courts preferred. Skills
Deep knowledge of federal and New York employment law. Litigation strategy and case evaluation. Client advocacy and communication. High-level legal research and drafting proficiency. Strong time management and organizational abilities. Familiarity with litigation management systems and legal tech platforms.
