Ensure accuracy and completeness of mortgage loan files. Conduct quality control (QC) for various loan products including Closed End 2nd Lien, Conventional, Government, Agency High Balance, Jumbo, and HELOC. Perform regulatory compliance reviews, credit reviews, and property valuation reviews. Mentor and train Underwriting Assistants, Junior Underwriters, and Underwriters. Identify potential gaps in processes and suggest improvements. Manage administrative tasks such as responding to emails and overseeing training completions. Required Experience
At least 5 years of mortgage underwriting experience for a US-based mortgage company. Understanding of Fannie Mae underwriting guidelines. Experience in reviewing appraisal reports and analyzing complex personal and business tax records. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or a related field; equivalent professional experience may be considered. Master's degree is preferred. Strong decision-making abilities and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word). FHA Direct Endorsement certification and/or VA Credit Authority is a plus.
