Base pay range $145,000.00/yr - $160,000.00/yr
Collins Engineers, Inc., a leader in transportation, site/civil, contract services, and marine engineering, is looking for a Talent Acquisition Manager to lead our team in our corporate office located in Chicago, IL. The Talent Acquisition Manager will be responsible for leading the Talent Acquisition Team in developing and implementing effective recruitment strategies to attract, hire, and retain top talent. You will play a critical role in shaping the workforce and ensuring that our team meets the company's goals and objectives. This role reports directly to the Senior Vice President-Human Resources, with the opportunity to advance into a more senior role in the future.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborating with Hiring Managers:
Partner with Regional Managers, Division Managers, and Department Heads to understand their specific needs and expectations to anticipate future requirements, define a recruitment strategy, and plan initiatives.
Act as an advisor about talent acquisition practices and recruiting decisions.
Provide coaching and guidance on effective interviewing and selection techniques.
Developing Recruitment Strategies
Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies tailored to the company’s needs.
Understand the job market, identify the best channels for sourcing candidates, and work closely with the Communications Department to create a strong employer brand to attract top talent.
Develop a deep understanding of the industry and the specialized functions of all positions within the organization.
Job Posting And Sourcing Candidates
Responsible for writing job descriptions and job postings.
Develop a talent sourcing strategy leveraging networks, LinkedIn, recruiting sources, social media, professional networks, and job fairs to build a robust talent pool.
Candidate Experience
Ensure a positive candidate experience from first contact to final hiring decision, including making offers.
Provide timely communication, feedback, and a smooth onboarding process.
Utilizing Recruitment Metrics
Track and analyze recruitment metrics and KPIs to measure the effectiveness of strategies.
Key metrics include time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, and quality of hires.
Conduct ongoing market analysis to refine sourcing methods.
Supervision
Lead, mentor, and develop the talent acquisition team.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and accountability.
Provide guidance to hiring managers to support long-term success.
Lead recruiting meetings and build recruiting guides, job descriptions, and offer letters.
Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulatory requirements.
