Title and Summary

Counsel, Security Solutions - Overview: Mastercard is seeking an experienced commercial/technology attorney to join its legal team, supporting the recent acquisition of Recorded Future within the Services vertical of Security Solutions. This team provides advanced safety, security, identity, fraud, and threat intelligence solutions to Mastercard’s customers and cardholders, developing next-generation products involving authentication, AI, biometrics, cybersecurity, contactless transactions, and IoT. This role, reporting to the Senior Managing Counsel, Recorded Future, involves supporting the global commercialization of Recorded Future's products and services, focusing on the US market for government and commercial clients, both within and beyond Mastercard's payment ecosystem. The position can be based in Purchase, NY, or Miami, FL, requiring experience in government and commercial contracting, product development, and regulatory compliance. Responsibilities

Provide legal counsel supporting the commercialization and sales of regional and Recorded Future products. Align with global and regional legal strategies, guiding the legal team and supporting business needs. Advise on legal, regulatory, reputational, and liability issues related to new and existing products. Research local laws, especially regarding government cyber sales, data privacy, cryptocurrency, and IP issues. Draft, negotiate, and structure complex commercial agreements. Collaborate across teams on product development and go-to-market strategies. Act as a strategic partner and trusted advisor to the business. Support global sales and execution initiatives. Qualifications

5-7 years of corporate transactional experience, preferably from a reputable law firm. Strong drafting and negotiation skills with complex deal management ability. Ability to operate in an agile environment, making quick, risk-aware decisions. Pragmatic, solutions-oriented, and business-friendly mindset. Leadership skills to unify different perspectives and priorities. Independent and collaborative work capability, with excellent communication skills. Juris Doctorate and active bar membership in good standing.
