Trident Seafoods is the largest vertically integrated seafood harvesting and processing company in North America. Species harvested include salmon, whitefish, and crab from the North Pacific and Alaska, along with global sources. This role involves receiving, processing, and shipping goods, issuing tools and equipment, and managing inventory to support Tacoma and Alaska operations. The position requires operating forklifts safely, utilizing SAP and EAM software, and communicating professionally with corporate buyers and managers. Key Responsibilities
Utilize enterprise resource planning systems for cargo and inventory accountability. Verify shipments using shipping records. Prepare and manifest goods for multimodal shipment. Classify outbound cargo with hazard communications. Load and unload cargo with material handling equipment. Conduct cycle-count inventory and maintain perpetual inventory records. Receive, unpack, and store incoming tools and equipment; document damages and discrepancies. Inspect tools and report damages or wear. Maintain logs of tool checkout and issues. This is a nonexempt position with an hourly rate of $21.00 - $23.00. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k), paid time off, holidays, and parental leave. Full-time employees may be eligible for incentives and additional benefits. Minimum Requirements
1 year of warehouse, shipping, receiving, or inventory management experience. High school diploma or equivalent. Experience with MS Excel, Outlook, and Teams. Forklift certification upon hire. Willingness to work variable schedules, including weekends and holidays. Preferred Qualifications
Hazardous Waste and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) experience. Experience with SAP and EAM or similar asset management systems. Skills and Work Environment
Ability to read and comprehend instructions, communicate effectively, and perform basic math. The work involves warehouse and outdoor environments, with exposure to loud noises and variable temperatures. Physical demands include standing, walking, lifting up to 25 pounds, and visual acuity for distance, peripheral, and depth perception. The role requires decision-making, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills. Work Authorization
