Inventory Coordinator I

Join Thermo Fisher Scientific team to assist customers in finding cures, protecting the environment, and ensuring food safety with real-world impact. Position located in Rahway, NJ. The position is focused primarily on scientific support services within Unity Lab Services core offerings of order entry, order management, operating customer procurement systems, stockroom services, material handling, shipping/receiving, and chemical tracking. What will you do? Use Thermo Fisher Scientific's or customer's inventory/order management electronic systems to perform the following activities: on-site program replenishments and disbursements, receiving, put-away, stock rotation, cycle counts, order entry and expediting, customer service call resolution, product returns, and backorder processing. Scan stockroom inventory to replenish inventory within a laboratory environment. Sustain and maintain stockroom inventory levels. Perform put away of delivered consumables and chemicals. Perform cycle counts & true ups. Follow work processes as outlined by our written procedures. Listens to customer concerns, effectively addresses issues with a goal of resolution within established timeframe, and proactively communicates with supervisor, and/or team lead any customer concerns and/or potential problems. Engages in process improvement activities. May perform other responsibilities as assigned by management. How will you get here? Education High School Diploma or equivalent experience. Experience 1-2 years in related experience, preferably within a laboratory setting or services. Validated customer service skills with proven verbal and written skills. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Shows proficiency in English communication, prioritizing customer service and embodying what we value. Must possess operating skills to use handheld scanners and learn to enter data in various systems as needed, as well as analytical skills to reconcile reports. Demonstrates computer proficiency and possess intermediate skills in Microsoft Office suite of software. Uses organizational skills to multi-task and meet due dates as needed. Working at a customer site will require working in a team environment and/or independently. Work areas may include spaces where chemical-based allergens may be in use (such as penicillin, tetracycline, etc.) Personal protective equipment may be worn to include lab coats, coveralls, hood, facemask, hair nets, safety gloves, safety glasses, steel toe shoes, bump hats and/or safety glasses.
