Req Id: 37912 Job Title: Business Analyst, Associate City: West Lafayette Job Description: The business analyst uses analysis and assessment of master data input required for SAP Plant Maintenance (PM) and Material Management (MM) modules, as well as other programs used by Administrative Operations (AO). This also includes oversight of the master data input from business unit requests, as well as departmental needs. The business analyst is responsible for maintaining consistency practices in master data records, naming conventions, classifications, and characteristics. This role assists to create, extract, manipulate, analyze, and assess data within the system parameters. The position directly affects data reporting for Administrative Operations (AO). This is an entry-level professional contributing to SAP PM, MM, and other AO programs and projects. The associate business analyst works under immediate supervision of the program manager, and in a cross-functional team environment, performing assigned tasks. The impact on projects or tasks is limited beyond the level area, with less complex review of data sets and input.The success of this position is through analysis and assessment of AO programs for quality, integrity, and functionality impacting multiple departments. This role may require master data clean-up and working with business units to validate large data sets. The position also contributes and maintains customer tickets in the Footprint system. Customer service involves equipment creation and maintenance; resolving break/fix issues related to SAP; Evo Suites, Asset Manager, and other applications. It also includes the creation of quick reference guides and documenting technical information supporting AO programs and processes. Resolution to tickets concludes from identifying, defining, and addressing problems with minimal complexity in assigned area. The position requires problem solving from previous experience, basic analysis, and our procedures for conflict resolution. Communication with internal and external stakeholders to explain procedures, facts, and policies relating to master data inputs. The position serves as AO's new employee orientation coordinator and assists with onboarding with new hires providing continuous support for the department.This position serves as a functional tester for SAP technical solutions in coordination with program updates. They work hand in hand with Purdue IT and Administrative Operations contacts for all testing needs. In addition, this position validates data sets to ensure the accuracy and integrity of reports leading that roll up to senior leadership.This is position is located on the West Lafayette campus in Indiana.About UsAdministrative Operations Information Systems is an exciting department to work for!
