is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented
MRI Tech
to perform diagnostic imaging procedures using magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) equipment. The MRI Tech plays a key role in capturing high-quality images that assist healthcare providers in accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
Job Responsibilities
Operate MRI scanners and related imaging equipment to acquire images of organs, tissues, and body systems according to physician orders. Review patient history, explain procedures, and position patients to ensure comfort and image accuracy. Ensure patient safety by screening for contraindications such as metal implants or devices and using proper shielding techniques. Monitor image quality and adjust equipment settings as necessary to meet diagnostic standards. Follow radiation safety, infection control, and contrast agent administration protocols. Document procedures, maintain accurate records, and upload images to the Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS). Collaborate with radiologists and clinical staff to ensure timely and effective patient care. Qualifications
Associate's degree
in Radiologic Technology or related field required; Bachelor's preferred. ARRT certification in MRI
or equivalent credential required. Minimum 1 year of MRI experience
in a clinical or hospital setting preferred. Excellent knowledge of MRI safety standards and imaging protocols. Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with patients and medical teams. Proficiency in image acquisition software and electronic health record systems. Benefits
