Title - AWS DevOps Engineer
Location - Houston, TX
Duration - 3 months with possible extension
We are seeking an experienced AWS DevOps Engineer with a strong Client on CI/CD pipeline development using GitLab and GitLab Runner. This role is ideal for professionals who are passionate about automating software delivery, optimizing cloud infrastructure, and ensuring robust, scalable deployments. In addition to pipeline engineering, the candidate will be responsible for aspects of infrastructure management, particularly leveraging Kubernetes for container orchestration. Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform is a valuable plus.
Key Responsibilities CI/CD Pipeline Development
Design, build, and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines using GitLab and GitLab Runner. Automate build, test, and deployment workflows for applications hosted on AWS. Integrate quality gates, security scanning, and automated testing into pipelines. Troubleshoot and optimize pipeline performance and reliability. Cloud Infrastructure Management
Manage and optimize AWS resources (EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, VPC, etc.) to support application deployment and scaling. Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions for cloud infrastructure. Kubernetes Operations
Deploy, manage, and scale containerized applications using Kubernetes (EKS preferred). Automate Kubernetes cluster provisioning, upgrades, and maintenance. Implement best practices for security, networking, and resource management within Kubernetes environments. Infrastructure as Code (IaC) - Nice to Have
Develop and maintain Terraform modules for provisioning AWS resources and Kubernetes clusters. Collaborate with team members to codify infrastructure and ensure repeatable, reliable deployments.
