Description:Summary/Objective
The Mobile Tubing Inspector Assistant position provides inspection and testing services both on and off well locations. The position follows standard work methods and practices safe work habits to ensure production and/or services are efficient and safe as possible. Supervisory Responsibilities: · None Essential Functions
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Assist in performing rig floor electromagnetic inspection as tubing is pulled from the well during workover. Assist with detecting flaws with tubing using EMI technology as well as visual inspection. Performs a variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labor in heavy projects; performs manual work in preparing production. Assist with directing and moving tubing into place for inspection following safe procedures for laydown and/or movement of tubing weighing approximately 200 lbs. Maintains a clean job site: picks up all tools and equipment and secures job site each day to eliminate potential hazards. Ensures that proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed by bringing problems to the attention of the Mobile Scan Inspector and/or Safety Manager. Cleans truck and tools, restocking supplies, etc. Assist with performing required before-, during- and after-operation “user maintenance” and provide required reports Must wear FRC uniforms on well location. Must be clean shaved on well location. Must be able to pass J1 and J2 eye exams. Understands a worker’s right to stop work when they feel their own or other’s personal safety is jeopardized. Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to fumes, particles, moving mechanical parts, vibration, heat, cold, rain, wind and a variety of other extreme conditions. The noise level in the work environment can be loud. Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The position lifts heavy objects, walks and stands for long periods of time and performs strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions. The employee lifts, pushes, pulls or carries objects; and uses abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue. The position requires good manual dexterity (hand, hand with arm, two hands) and multi- limb coordination. The position requires the ability to quickly move arms and legs. The employee must have excellent stamina. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Position Type/Work Schedule This is a full-time salaried non-exempt position. Weekends and/or holidays will be scheduled. Employee must be available for emergency jobs when the need arises. Travel Travel is required which is primarily local during the business day, although out-of-state and overnight and weekends may occasionally be required. Education and Experience
Basic mechanical and oil industry understanding. Safeland or PEC certifications preferred. Outlook, Microsoft, Excel knowledge is preferred. NDT Certifications is preferred.
