WRA is seeking a highly experienced Part-Time Water/Wastewater Technical Specialist to lead and support water and wastewater utility projects in our Richmond, VA office. This is an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned professional with 25+ years of utility management and utility services experience to contribute their technical and managerial expertise on a flexible, part-time basis. Responsibilities: Serve as project advisor for water and wastewater infrastructure projects for public utility clients. Provide technical leadership, quality oversight, and strategic guidance on project planning, permitting, and implementation. Coordinate with clients, regulatory agencies, and multi-disciplinary project teams. Prepare and review engineering reports, water supply contracts, master plans and planning documents with regards to water and wastewater systems. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Chemical or Environmental Engineering, or similar degree (Master’s degree a plus). Minimum of 25 years of progressive experience in the water and wastewater utility sector, including management and utility operations. In-depth knowledge of municipal utility systems, permitting processes, and design standards. Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills. Experience working with public agencies and municipalities in Virginia is highly desirable.
