Job Description
Overview:
This position will oversee an assigned region of the Finance Division of Keystone Cooperative. Assist in the sales process by offering/supporting input and financing programs, while working with the sales team and patrons (external and internal). Responsibilities will also include underwriting and processing agricultural financing applications.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Include but are not limited to: Assist the team with offering 3rd party input financing programs and Keystone Cooperative in-house financing, using appropriate risk management tools available to identify credit risks to recommend sound credit and financing options to our growers. Review and interpret information found during the due diligence phase for new and returning loan applicants - UCC searches, credit bureaus, entity details from secretary of state searches, and other databases available. Underwriting authority given to properly analyze, assess, and approve financing terms in the loan portfolio to meet the company's strategic goals and objectives. Review loan closing documents for accuracy and audit review standards, as needed. Occasionally meet with growers at the farmgate to host electronic loan closings, collect financials, or explain financing options. Assist the finance team with collecting financial updates to process loan renewals, updating our master loan database that the finance team can reference as needed. Assist in discovering and/or implementing processes and technology to continue to improve efficiencies each year. Assist the finance team to achieve our annual department goals and deadlines, by being able to make work task adjustments within the different phases of the renewal season (due diligence, underwriting, document creation, or loan closing) Responsible for enforcing Keystone Cooperative Credit and Finance Policy as approved by the board of directors. Participate in Keystone Cooperative annual divisional training and kickoff sessions. Performs other duties as assigned. Skills and Qualifications:
Effective communication with internal and external customers Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word/Excel/Outlook) and Power BI Detail oriented and able to process work accurately with minimal errors. Work well in a team environment. Ability and desire to solve problems. Ability to travel within Keystone Cooperative trade territory as needed. Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Accounting / Finance or related field 3-5 years of financing and/or collections experience Prior experience as a Credit Manager, Finance Manager, Controller, Treasurer, Loan Officer, or similar role preferred.
