Overview We are seeking a
talented and motivated Structural Engineer
with
3–5 years of progressive experience
in building design to join our collaborative, multi-discipline team. This role offers the opportunity to work on
exciting and diverse projects
using state-of-the-art engineering software in a team-oriented environment. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical skills, creativity, and a commitment to delivering high-quality structural designs. Key Responsibilities Perform
structural analysis
using engineering “first principles” for various structural systems and elements.
Utilize analysis results to design
gravity and lateral load-resisting systems
for steel, concrete, masonry, and wood buildings in compliance with applicable building codes, including the
International Building Code (IBC) .
Lead the structural engineering design, coordination, detailing, and drawing production for assigned projects.
Provide
direction and guidance
to project staff as needed.
Communicate effectively with clients, project managers, architects, and other design team members.
Prepare clear, well-structured
technical reports
documenting engineering analysis and recommendations.
Review contractor submittals, shop drawings, and RFIs to ensure compliance with design intent.
Conduct
field observation site visits
to monitor construction progress and verify conformance to specifications.
Perform other duties as assigned to support project success.
Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (structural emphasis preferred).
Professional Engineering (PE) license
in at least one U.S. state;
Structural Engineering (SE) license preferred .
3–5 years of progressive experience in structural engineering (advanced degree may be considered as part of experience).
Experience designing building structures per
IBC
requirements.
Proficiency in one or more structural analysis software tools such as
RAM Structural System, RISA, SAP2000, ETABS , and
Revit Structure .
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Experience with
post-tensioned concrete
structures a plus.
Preferred Skills Proficiency with
BIM/Revit
for structural modeling and coordination.
Familiarity with
field inspection and construction observation
best practices.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
