Base pay range

$200,000.00/yr - $235,000.00/yr

Seeking an experienced Regulatory Technology Project Manager to lead the end-to-end delivery of regulatory reporting and trade surveillance solutions for major U.S. financial regulators.

Reporting to the Head of Regulatory Technology, this role is responsible for overseeing and managing the implementation of Regulatory Reporting and Trade Surveillance projects for U.S. operations and compliance teams, with some involvement in global teams.

The role provides project support across multiple teams, ensuring open tasks are captured, monitored, and addressed. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong communication, organization, and leadership skills in a fast-paced and occasionally high-pressure environment.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning and Execution

  • Lead cross-functional teams in the implementation, maintenance, and enhancement of regulatory compliance and trade surveillance platforms.
  • Manage full project lifecycle from requirements gathering to deployment for CFTC, NFA, SEC, and FINRA reporting solutions.
  • Coordinate with compliance teams to translate regulatory requirements into technical specifications.
  • Oversee configuration of surveillance platforms such as Scila and SMARTS to meet U.S. regulatory needs.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, RAID logs, timelines, resource allocations, and budgets.
  • Monitor project activities, ensure adherence to schedules, and mitigate risks.
  • Ensure system testing, validation, and quality assurance processes.
  • Assist in delivery of regulatory changes and support system adaptations.

Stakeholder Management

  • Liaise with internal teams including IT, operations, risk, compliance, and legal to align project objectives.
  • Facilitate communication between business stakeholders, technology teams, and regulators.
  • Communicate project status, risks, and issues to relevant stakeholders and escalate as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Finance, Business, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience managing regulatory technology projects in financial services
  • Familiarity with U.S. regulatory reporting frameworks (CFTC, NFA, SEC, FINRA)
  • Understanding of financial markets, trading lifecycle, and compliance requirements
  • Proven delivery of complex regulatory technology solutions
  • Project management certifications (e.g., PMP, Agile)
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Experience with vendor relationships and third-party integrations

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field
  • Experience with trade surveillance platforms (Scila, SMARTS, or similar)
  • Compliance or financial regulation certifications
  • Knowledge of market abuse detection methodologies
  • Familiarity with data analytics and financial data management
