Expected salary range of $144,900 to $161,000, based on experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes a bonus and 401(k).
PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION
This role involves performing advanced problem-solving related to fuels in support of nuclear plant operations. The position requires making technical decisions and possessing superior knowledge in relevant disciplines, regulations, and their practical applications, demonstrating recognized industry-level expertise.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Conduct advanced nuclear engineering and technical tasks to support nuclear plant operations.
- Engage in independent research, reviews, studies, and analyses for technical projects.
- Provide extensive technical expertise to manage and implement nuclear engineering activities focused on plant safety, reliability, maintainability, and availability, ensuring alignment with regulations and corporate policies.
- Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of work, adhering to proper configuration management and applicable design criteria.
- Leverage technical expertise to identify and resolve equipment and system issues.
- Manage tasks related to nuclear engineering challenges, whether in an initial or complete capacity.
- Suggest innovative concepts and techniques aimed at enhancing performance or cost-efficiency and staying compliant with evolving regulations.
- Support plant design modifications, testing, and necessary problem-solving efforts.
- Guarantee that all nuclear engineering outputs comply with relevant safety analyses, industry codes, and regulatory standards.
- Oversee functional supervisory activities including personnel management, budgeting, and goal planning for Nuclear Fuels teams.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- B.S. degree in Engineering or Licensed Professional Engineer.
- 10+ years of engineering experience with a record of exceptional performance.
- Proven solid or better results for at least 2 years, meeting all Fuels IIIA and IIIB criteria.
- Approval from the Nuclear Fuels Director, Director of Human Resources, and VP of Nuclear Fuels is required for placement in this role.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Professional Engineering Registration, advanced technical degree, or relevant coursework.
- QNE Qualification or SRO Certification considered a plus.
- Experience in Project Management.
