The expected salary range for this role is $144,900 to $161,000, depending on experience, alongside a comprehensive benefits package.
POSITION SUMMARY
This position encompasses advanced engineering problem-solving in support of power plant operations, making significant technical decisions. We seek a professional with exceptional knowledge in their field and a solid understanding of industry codes and regulations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Serve as a technical expert and source of guidance for Plant Instrumentation and Controls Systems within Constellation's power generation fleet, ensuring high-quality engineering support.
- Leverage strong knowledge of controls, electrical, and instrumentation engineering, including DCS, PLC, and various industrial control system design elements. A background in power generation stations is preferred.
- Experience with systems like Ovation, MarkVIe, Allen Bradley, or T3000 is highly beneficial.
- Demonstrate the ability to design, analyze, and tune diverse control systems and control schemes.
- Possess a practical understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, especially in boiler and turbine controls.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on both minor and major projects, preparing capital project justifications, work scopes, specifications, and acceptance testing.
- Show expertise in system troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
- Engage with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) and aftermarket vendors to support necessary tasks.
- Implement standards, programs, processes, and best practices that benefit the Constellation fleet.
- Be available for rotating shifts and overtime as needed for projects, outages, and urgent support requirements.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
- Over 10 years of professional experience with exceptional performance levels.
- Approval from VP Engineering is needed for classification.
