Role Overview: As a crucial member of the Plant Engineering team, you will design, maintain, and enhance our equipment, manufacturing processes, and plant infrastructure. Your role will focus on solving technical challenges while ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and productivity standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute toward the sustainability and growth of our operations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute capital projects in the Cleveland and Mentor areas.
  • Manage the mechanical aspects of projects, including design, documentation, equipment installation, and project management.
  • Create engineering solutions to enhance equipment reliability and safety, reduce costs, and manage outage risks effectively.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for engineering and maintenance teams.
  • Design compliant solutions to meet ISO 14001 and Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) standards.
  • Provide accurate capital cost estimates and establish project timelines for successful project management.
  • Solicit equipment quotations to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Offer technical support to Production and Maintenance departments.
  • Work collaboratively with process engineering, production, maintenance, and supply management teams.
  • Manage external engineering and construction personnel as required.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, health, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned in support of the Company's 2025 Strategy.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 3 years of experience for level II and 5 years for level III.
  • Strong commitment to taking ownership of tasks and achieving results.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Demonstrated good judgment, self-motivation, and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.
  • Flexibility to handle diverse assignments and adapt to changing project requirements.
  • Hands-on capability and willingness to work collaboratively on the shop floor.
  • Proficiency in CAD modeling with preference for Solid Edge or AutoCAD.
  • Willingness to occasionally work off-shifts and travel between facilities as needed.
