We are excited to invite skilled and detail-oriented individuals to apply for the role of Systems Engineering Specialist . In this position, you will be integral to the comprehensive design, integration, testing, and ongoing support of complex systems. You will be actively involved in planning, analyzing, and validating systems to ensure they fulfill both customer and operational needs. You'll have the opportunity to participate in the entire systems lifecycle—from gathering requirements to validating and deploying final systems.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Lead technical planning and comprehensive system design including hardware, software, and networking components.

  • Oversee system integration, verification, validation, and fielding activities.

  • Assess and analyze system alternatives based on cost, risk, and supportability to optimize overall performance.

  • Facilitate systems requirements analysis, functional analysis, and timeline assessments.

  • Conduct trade studies, manage requirements allocation, and define interfaces between subsystems.

  • Ensure that all technical project aspects align with quality and performance standards.

  • Support system testing, quality assurance, and configuration management throughout all phases of the development lifecycle.

  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including software and hardware engineers, project managers, and external stakeholders.

Basic Qualifications

  • TS/SCI w/ Poly Clearance is required.

  • Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field with 4-8 years of relevant experience; or a Master’s degree with 2-6 years of relevant experience.

  • Proven expertise in technical planning, system design including hardware, software, and networking elements, along with integration and deployment of complex systems.

  • Strong background in requirements analysis, functional decomposition, interface definition, trade studies, and timeline analysis.

  • Hands-on experience with testing methodologies, verification & validation, and quality assurance protocols.

  • Effective analytical and problem-solving skills, with a knack for addressing ambiguous technical challenges.

  • Understanding of systems integration and troubleshooting within intricate system architectures.

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, validated through collaboration across engineering disciplines and with stakeholders.

  • Ability to work autonomously and lead small teams within a technical domain.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced knowledge of Systems Engineering principles and methodologies, such as INCOSE standards.

  • Experience with Systems Architecture and Design tools (e.g., SysML, Cameo, IBM DOORS).

  • Familiarity with Cybersecurity principles and cyber risk management in system design and execution.

  • Experience utilizing test automation frameworks and scripting for systems validation.

  • Knowledge of project management principles including scope management, risk assessment, and milestone tracking.

  • Track record of mentoring and coaching junior engineers or technical staff.

  • Familiarity with Agile, DevSecOps, or other iterative development practices.

  • A strong understanding of interconnected disciplines related to hardware, software, and networking systems.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $85,150.00 - $153,925.00
