Description: As a Senior Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and optimizing manufacturing processes and procedures to drive operational excellence. You will leverage your expertise in materials, tooling, and process flow to define build sequences and ensure product quality, efficiency, and manufacturability.
nKey Responsibilities:
nDevelop, implement, and refine manufacturing processes and build sequences based on a strong understanding of materials and fabrication techniques.
nEvaluate equipment and tool performance to verify efficiency, reliability, and alignment with production requirements.
nIdentify and resolve issues related to tooling, process capability, and production inefficiencies through root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.
nCollaborate with design engineering teams to provide feedback on design concepts and specifications, ensuring manufacturability and optimal use of available equipment and methods.
nOperate within a Model-Based Engineering environment using platforms such as 3DX (3DEXPERIENCE) and iBASEt Solumina to develop digital work instructions and manage process documentation.
nSupport cross-functional initiatives to improve cycle time, cost, quality, and safety across manufacturing operations.
nProvide periodic off-shift support as needed to sustain production and ensure continuity of operations.
nTravel periodically to other sites or vendors for technical support and integration activities.

nBasic Qualifications:
n• Bachelors Degree
n• Aero Aircraft or rocket sub-systems assembly and or integration / installation.
n• Manufacturing assembly work instruction authoring and work planning.
n• Hands-on or Support production floor experience.
n• Review of engineering technical drawings and models / designs with respect to design for manufacturing and assembly (DFMA) considerations.
n•Secret Clearance required to apply AND the ability to obtain and Maintain Special Program Access prior to start
nDesired Skills:
n• STEM Degree with 5+ years of experience
n• Aircraft fuel and hydraulic systems.
n• Wire harness and interconnect installation/integration.
n• Development/protype/first article program support.
n• CNC machining working knowledge.
n• 3DX/Catia V5 software usage. PLM and ERP software proficiency.
n•Works effectively within cross-functional teams and with external partners/suppliers.
n•Direct ownership and support of specific manufacturing operations as well as interface with production employees.

nPay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $81,600 - $143,865. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays.
