Join our innovative team as a System Design Engineer where your expertise will be crucial in the end-to-end system lifecycle. We are looking for a detail-oriented individual with a technical skill set who can contribute to comprehensive system design, integration, testing, and support. In this role, you will ensure that complex systems meet customer and operational requirements, with direct involvement in everything from requirements gathering to final validation and deployment.
Primary Responsibilities :
Lead technical planning and comprehensive system design including hardware, software, and networks.
Execute system integration, verification, validation, and field deployment effectively.
Analyze and evaluate alternatives to optimize the performance of the total system while considering cost, risk, and supportability.
Guide and assist in systems requirements analysis, functional analysis, and timeline assessments.
Conduct thorough trade studies, perform requirements allocation, and establish interfaces among components and subsystems.
Oversee technical project aspects, ensuring adherence to performance and quality standards.
Assist in quality assurance, system testing, and configuration management throughout the entire development lifecycle.
Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams, including software engineers, hardware engineers, project managers, and external partners.
Basic Qualifications
Active TS/SCI w/ Poly Clearance is mandatory.
Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field with 4-8 years of relevant experience; or a Master's degree with 2-6 years of relevant experience.
Proven expertise in technical planning, system design (covering hardware, software, and networks), development, integration, and the deployment of complex systems.
Skilled in requirements analysis, functional decomposition, interface definition, trade studies, and timeline analysis.
Hands-on experience with system testing, verification & validation, and quality assurance processes.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to tackle unclear or undefined technical challenges.
Familiarity with systems integration and troubleshooting in complex system architectures.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a track record of effective collaboration across engineering teams and stakeholders.
Capable of working independently and leading small teams or processes within the technical domain.
Preferred Qualifications
Advanced understanding of Systems Engineering principles and methodologies (e.g., INCOSE standards).
Experience with Systems Architecture and Design tools (e.g., SysML, Cameo, IBM DOORS).
Knowledge of Cybersecurity principles and cyber risk management relative to system design and implementation.
Experience utilizing test automation frameworks and scripting for systems validation.
Understanding of project management concepts, emphasizing scope management, risk mitigation, and milestone tracking.
Proven ability to mentor and coach junior engineers or technical staff.
Experience with Agile, DevSecOps, or alternative iterative development methodologies.
Robust cross-functional knowledge of hardware, software, and network systems related disciplines.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $85,150.00 - $153,925.00
