Pay Range: $63 - $80/hour

System One is seeking a highly capable and motivated Digital Systems Verification and Validation (V&V) Technical Lead to support advanced nuclear technologies. This position reports to the Digital Systems V&V Manager and is a critical role in ensuring high-reliability, regulatory-compliant digital I&C systems.

You will lead the technical execution of V&V programs for advanced Generation IV reactor technologies, including Sodium Fast Reactors and Molten Chloride Fast Reactors. The role requires collaboration across multi-disciplinary teams and independent review of digital systems, software, hardware, and firmware.

Key Responsibilities:

    Lead V&V technical scope execution through completion of the Natrium Project.

    n
  • n
  • n

    Oversee technical performance, cost planning, scheduling, and risk management for V&V workstreams.

    n
  • n
  • n

    Develop Digital I&C V&V plans, procedures, and policies aligned with NRC regulations and internal standards.

    n
  • n
  • n

    Build and guide a high-performing V&V team; support training needs assessments.

    n
  • n
  • n

    Independently review and verify design requirements, specifications, and documentation.

    n
  • n
  • n

    Participate in CM audits, software safety analysis, and generation of V&V lifecycle reports.

  • n
  • n

    Support and perform supplier audits, inspections, and technical reviews.

    n
  • n
  • n

    Conduct or support software/firmware code reviews and hardware/system testing.

    n
  • n
  • n

    Interface with licensing, equipment qualification, and commissioning/startup teams.

  • n
  • n

    Promote continuous learning and adoption of nuclear industry best practices.

    n
  • n
  • n

    Collaborate across disciplines to integrate and validate system-level performance.

  • n

Qualifications & Skills:

n
    n
  • n

    B.S. or higher in Electrical, Controls, Computer Science, or related engineering field.

    n
  • n
  • n

    Minimum 5 years' direct experience in NQA-1 Design Verification.

    n
  • n
  • n

    Minimum 5 years of experience in a technical leadership or management role.

    n
  • n
  • n

    Experience with I&C system development and V&V processes across hardware, software, and integrated platforms.

  • n
  • n

    Strong knowledge of mission-critical, high-reliability software/firmware systems.

  • n

    Familiarity with nuclear industry standards, including:

    Proven ability to write and review technical documentation and V&V reports.
