1122 - Guidance, Navigation & Control Engineer

Monte Sano Research Corporation (MSRC) is a Huntsville-based Small Business specializing in providing full-spectrum defense system engineering, research, design, development, integration, test, evaluation, and planning services to the U.S. Government.
MSRC is seeking a full-time Guidance, Navigation & Control Engineer to join our team of engineers performing research and development for missile systems.
Job Description:

• Provide support in the development of Guidance, Navigation and Control (GNC) of various missile systems. This will include development, implementation and analysis of sub-system models and algorithms to support a 6DOF missile simulation. Support may include all-digital simulation development, Hardware-In-The-Loop (HWIL) and Flight Test.
• Utilize simulations, models and algorithms within a 6DOF architecture to conduct performance analyses including Monte-Carlo analysis, Frequency Response analysis, Scenario Development and Trade Studies.
• Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SME) who will assist in the development of the new models/simulation.
• Develop analysis tools to support 6DOF simulation, GNC analysis and Trade Studies using C++, Python including GUI development.
• Ability to verify and validate performance of all-digital sub-system models.
• Work within a fast-paced environment, often with evolving requirements.
• Write technical documentation as required.

Education / Experience:

• BS degree in Aerospace, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering (MS degree preferred)

Required Qualifications:

• 1+ years of relevant experience.
• General understanding of missile Aerodynamics, Guidance, Navigation and Control.
• Competence in: C++, Python, Matlab/SciLab
• Experience in 6DOF modeling and simulation development.
• Good communication skills.

• Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain an active security clearance.
